It's true. I'm filled to the brim with creamy goodness and bursting with fruit flavor. But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. I did in fact want to let you guys know I'm back, and that my move went very well. I’m officially on the way to becoming a resident of Ohio, and barring the GIANT spiders I think it’s going to go along smashingly.

I want again to thank each of you for being so patient as to my having such a slow start as Wallpaper Gallery Director; and special thanks to ^archanN, who’s been nothing if not supportive in holding down the fort while I tackled the several things on my dA and life to-do-list.

So far as I know, some things from both lists have been put on hold and certainly others are finished altogether—so to cut to the chase: I’m gonna start being a whole lot less quiet ‘round these here parts.

How can you help?
First, please keep sending me your wallpaper suggestions. I want to see way more of the killer stuff you guys have been sending me. I don’t care if its four years old or if it just came out yesterday, get it to me.

Secondly, if you know anyone in the Wallpaper Community who’s been doing an excellent job of avidly supporting it via things such as newsletters, journals, forums, or any other manner aside from art—tell me who they are! There’s no way for me to know everyone, so I need your help to recognize those who need the praise, direction, and support.

For as much as we depend on Artist Relations to manage the galleries, support our artists, remain emissary to administration, and in general remain positive role-models, the Gallery Directors need you, too. We’re a lot of places doing a lot of things, but we’re not everywhere all the time. We depend on you guys more than anything to keep us up to date with important things involving the community. For this reason, I encourage you to encourage your friends to get in touch with their GDs and institute a good fellowship.

So at last: if you know any new wallpaper artists, certainly take them under your wing and put them in touch myself and ^archanN. It’s very important to me that we remain the fun, loose-knit, creative people that we are.
I remember what a good feeling it was when I first started to be so warmly embraced by all the best guys here. It was great motivation and really got me thinking about how important this community was. And now here I am just thinking about how frick’n awesome all you guys are, and how proud I am to be able to represent everyone to the great-goodness that is our administration.

Yeah, I’m done rambling now, okay? I think I’ll go do something productive. .. like get some wicked DD’s going and search out some newbies to coddle. Annnnndddddd I miss you guys. Tell me how the hell you’ve been!?

Collections? Wtf is that?
Collections are basically folders you can set up in your Normal gallery (as well as your Favorites Gallery) that you can label, edit, add to, and ultimately share with anyone who drops into your Gallery to take a peek. But wait, there's more! Not only can you make the collections, you can also receive comments on them, as well as enjoy sheer amazement as your fellow deviants steal your collections for their own!
You heard that right.
For example, let's say you like my "Wallpaper" Collection in my favorites, or my "Downloadable packs" in my main gallery, and are dying to know what I add to it next. Just choose the gallery and folder you want, and drag the folder-thumb up into your Collections bar that automagically appears at the top of the screen and it's all yours. Once you've got it, it'll update as I add to it, giving you loads of reasons to go in and leave me your comments and funny jokes about my taste. Go make some for yourself, it's way cool!

As well, my good friend and fellow Director ^DigitalPhenom, is now officially taking Custom Journal Commissions. For those of you who don't know, he's got an amazing talent in that genre. It would be well worth your time to go to him with your one-of-a-kind idea and see it finished in a way only his killer talents can provide.
