I have -no- idea why... however I thought of Dune. Folding space... traveling without moving... I think it's a good film.
There's an abundance of power in here, most likely due to the high contrast in lighting... however there's also a sense of stillness. The quiet before the storm. Or somesuch
Lynch's Dune was an exceptional piece of filmmaking. Great direction, beautifully shot... and very intense. There was a version on the Sci-fi channel that had an alternate narration and reel on the intro, extended battle scenes, and more. I think it totaled another 45 minutes on the film. I can't find it anywhere!!! I have a feeling the SCi-fi channel bought that stuff and owns it exclusively.
And, thank you very kindly for your praise. I appreciate it deeply.
